Tarot work and Scorpio Season
In my northern hometown, the arrival of Scorpio season coincides with, although it sounds a little morbid, the start of ‘dying season’. Leaves have fallen, summer plants have absorbed their last rays of sunshine, and hibernating animals are preparing themselves for their long sleep. It should come as no surprise that the Death card is the card correspondence of Scorpio, a card of endings, fears, transformation, and transcendence.
Winter Season Tarot Deck Review
Only two decks I have touch my soul. The first is the RWS. It was my first deck. It is my teaching deck. It is the deck I can visualize in its entirety without any great effort. The second is Joanna Powell Colbert’s ‘Gaian Tarot’ deck. It was gifted to me by my now wife while I was attending the readers’ Studio in 2010. It has been a constant companion to my spiritual work.
However, a third deck looks like it is an early favourite to enter the fray of deeply connected Tarot deck… ‘The Winter Season Tarot’ by Dani’el Norman.
What I hear in the silence
When I seek out the Hermit’s wisdom, I find taking myself to a place that facilitates, that really almost forces solitude, helps. Nature somehow enhances the silence for me. Winter further adds to the silence.

Tarot work while I’m away
Over the past few days, while Kelly is working away, I’ve been doing a few Tarot readings.
In the space between the minimal work I’m doing for Kel and the readings I have ‘booked’, I drew three cards of my own, reflecting on the past six days here.
